SaRA (Simplifying Recovery Assistant) is a digital platform that reduces the occurrence and recovery times for occupational injuries by supporting patients outside of the provider’s office. SaRA digitizes home exercises, group like-patients, and provides individualized notifications to keep their recovery on schedule — and match their on-the-go lifestyle.
My role for the Beta release of SaRA Health’s mobile app was to provide the development team with wireframes, user flows, and hi-fidelity mockups. There are 2 main users of the mobile app, but I was assigned to focus on the Workouts pages for the primary user: the patient. I delivered the MVP for the workout pages that the patients will use.
My research consisted of speaking with medical professionals that included Ortho surgeons, RN, PT, and Healthcare Entrepreneurs. Our team adopted an agile UX methodology to ensure that our designs are usable for the primary users. We created wireframes and tested prototypes with patients provided by our advisory board and partners. I spent significant time analyzing competitors and best practices, and synthesizing data with medical practitioners.
The Routine pages for the physicians are still in development. The current wireframes for those pages can be given upon request.
SaRA Health has been invited to the 2018 Techstars Kansas City program and will continue to grow their startup in the midwest. I unfortunately did not join them but I am excited to see what they will achieve in the future!
I did a quick redesign of their homepage as a token of my appreciation for working with such an amazing team :) They have since changed their logo after coming to Kansas City.
